Phase-by-Phase Breakdown

Phase 1: Slab Selection & Deposit

Visit our Ludlow showroom to see full slabs in person, compare colors and patterns, select your specific slab, choose edge profile, and sign contract with 50% deposit.

What to Bring:

• Cabinet door or photo of your cabinetry
• Paint swatches or kitchen photos
• Rough measurements of countertop area
• Budget range
• Inspiration photos (Pinterest, Houzz)

Timeline: 1-2 hours

Phase 2: Templating

Scheduled 1-3 business days after deposit. Takes 1-2 hours. Requires someone home to answer questions.

What Our Team Does:

• Measures precisely using laser measurements
• Creates cardboard or digital templates
• Notes sink location, cooktop cutouts, outlets
• Identifies issues (cabinets not level, walls out of square)
• Discusses seam placement
• Confirms edge profile and overhang depth

CRITICAL - Cabinets Must Be:

• Fully installed
• Level and plumb
• In their final position
• Securely fastened to walls
• No old countertops on top (unless we're removing them)

Phase 3: Fabrication

What Happens in Our Facility:

• Day 1-2: Template review and cutting plan created
• Day 3-5: Stone cut using CNC machines (precision within 1/16 inch)
• Day 6-8: Edges shaped and polished to high shine
• Day 8-9: Sink and cooktop cutouts created
• Day 10: Granite sealed, quality control, packaged for transport

Timeline: 5-10 business days | No action required from you

Phase 4: Installation Day

Before Installation (Night Before):

• Clear countertops completely
• Remove items from cabinets below
• Provide clear path for installers
• Arrange for pets to be secured
• Park cars to allow installation vehicle access

Installation Process:

• Hour 1: Remove old countertops, disconnect plumbing, clean cabinet tops
• Hours 2-3: Position stone pieces, check level, apply adhesive, secure to cabinets
• Hour 3-4: Join seam pieces, apply color-matched epoxy, polish smooth
• Hour 4-5: Set sink, install cooktop, apply silicone
• Hour 5-6: Clean surfaces, remove debris, final quality check

How to Speed Up Your Installation

1. Have Cabinets Ready

The #1 delay is cabinets not being ready for templating. Coordinate with your cabinet installer to have everything done before we template.

Common granite and quartz colors are in stock. Exotic slabs may need to be ordered.

Q: Can I use my kitchen during fabrication?

A: If you still have old counters, yes! If not, you'll need temporary solutions.

Q: How long until I can use my new counters?

A: Immediately for most purposes. Wait 24 hours for seam areas to fully cure before heavy use.

Q: Do you work weekends?

A: Installation can be scheduled on Saturdays for an additional fee. Sundays are typically unavailable.
